Room Makeovers is owned and operated by New Yorker, Patricia Schell Stay. Patty has been painting and decorating since she was 13 years old. She started out painting her bedroom and has gone on to paint and decorate everyone's home she stepped into. She became part of Transart Industries of Atlanta, Georgia - a fine art company. She was an award winning Design Director for Transart and taught at seminars on their behalf. Patty found she was asked repeatedly for more ideas for the customer's interiors. Painting and faux finishing was a natural evolution. Word of mouth is a wonderful thing in business and so demand dictated that she go into business for herself. Room Makeovers is now a multifaceted company, helping each customer create a beautiful interior - whether at home, or at the office.

Ms. Stay started Room Makeovers in Saratoga Springs, New York. She has many beautifully completed projects all over the Capital District of Albany and the Hudson River Valley. Eagle Outfitters of Brown County called upon Patty to come to Illinois to paint and faux finish their hunting lodge in Mt. Sterling. Friends lined up for projects to be done whenever she came to town. Hunters from all over the country were impressed with her work and have called Patty to travel to their homes to paint and decorate. Her travels have taken her from New York, to New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia and Illinois. She was asked to handle the entire interior work of a new 5,000 sq. ft. lodge back in Illinois. When the customer saw how beautiful the lodge came out, Patty was flown to Georgia to completely makeover their personal residence.
