Filling out this Questionnaire will help focus your thoughts on your project and will help Me help You!!! In no way does this questionnaire obligate you for any work to be done or for me to contact you unless you ask... so let's begin.....

The statement I hear most:
"I am lost and don't know where to start!"

  • Let's break this down. Are you looking at:

  • One Room

  • One definite area within a room

  • Multiple rooms

  • The whole house

  • My place of business

Is the problem about color?

  • No color

  • The wrong color

  • My spouse/partner and I cannot agree on color

Is the problem about color being created because of something present in the room? Is this object something "negotiable"?

How is the natural light in this area?

  • Lots of light?

  • Limited light?

  • No light

How about the home's lighting at night?

  • Lots of light?

  • Limited light?

  • No light? (I can tell you right now that needs to change!)

Let's look at furniture. Are your present furniture pieces:

  • New and working well for you?

  • Old and need replacing?

  • Old and staying no matter what?

  • You have no idea where to start selecting furniture.

Are you open for new pieces to be purchased if necessary?

  • Are you confident and want to do this yourself?

  • Would you feel more confident if someone shopping with you to make sure you were making the right choices?

Let's look at room arrangement:

  • Is the arrangement perfect for your family?

  • Does it need to be totally re-arranged?

  • Does it just need a bit of "tweaking"?

  • Are you totally lost and need a good floor plan sketched out?

Can you find the focal points of each room?

  • Are they drawing your eye as they should?

  • Are they falling short of your expectations?

  • Could they be made more prominent?

Let's look at your accessories for each room.

  • Were they purchased specifically for this room?

  • Were they part of your "stuff" from a past house and you plopped them in that spot?

  • Are you sure they are right for this space?

Did you inherit someone else's "stuff" and you feel you have to use it because it was:

  • Family Inheritance

  • A gift

  • Free?

Is your artwork properly displayed?

  • Do you have artwork that fits your color scheme?

  • Does your art make you smile?

  • Do you need additional pieces?

  • You do not have any art, or not sufficient artwork?

  • Do you need help purchasing art?

  • Do you need help hanging or arranging art?

  • Are you wondering, "who is Art?" (if so you need Room Makeovers badly)

Are your window treatments attractive and complimentary to your room's design?
If not, do you want help selecting the proper treatments?
Do you want someone to work beside you and we bring in the experts?

How is your flooring working for you?
Carpets, Area Rugs, Tiles, Hardwood --- all OK?
Do you need help purchasing new flooring?

Is the exterior of your home attractive?
Are you satisfied with every aspect of your home's exterior?
Is there any area of your home's exterior that makes you cringe?
Is your landscaping complimenting your home?
Are you asking, "What landscaping?"?
Is your home the best house on the block?
Are your neighbors wishing you would move?

So, how did you do on the Questions?

Let's talk about the fees involved:

Initial Color Selection Appointment: $50

*If you decide to have Room Makeovers do your painting and/or faux finishing, your $50 Color Design Fee will be deducted from your final invoice.

Painting and Faux Finishing: this fee will depend on the room's size, the number of layers of paint required, the difficulty of the faux technique being used, the height of the ceiling, the condition of the walls, and the accessibility to the work area (stairwells, etc.) The labor is priced to be accessible for the average working couple, while giving consideration to the level of experience and expertise of Patricia's talent and skill level. *Materials are additional.

All fees for any work and materials will be clearly quoted in a Proposal for Project. If you agree for the work to be contracted, you sign the Proposal Agreement and forward it to Room Makeovers along with a deposit. At that time, your work will be scheduled.

Sketching of Room Design for the homeowner to do himself: $150/room

Makeover For Profit Appointment: $150 - There will not be a written account of these findings. It is suggested that a video be made of this visit, or copious notes be taken for your own reference.

*If you decide to have Room Makeovers contract to do the work for your Makeover For Profit, the $150 fee will be deducted from your final invoice.

Your Budget: Please give serious consideration to your finances available for this project. Talk to your partner/spouse and agree to these numbers beforehand. These numbers will determine the level of work that can be accomplished. You need to have a number in your head of what you want to spend... what you can spend if necessary... and a ceiling that determines the absolute end of this project...
