Your client's first impression of you is your
office. Does it say that you are successful? Does it say that you take
care of details? Does it say you complete your work with pride?
The old adage, "you never get a second chance to make a first
impression" really starts here! Do you want to appear stately,
traditional, modern, classic, artistic, successful, or as a visionary?
You need to decide how your place of business should represent you.
Here's another question - are you meeting people out of the office
because your office is not up to par?
Don't forget a big detail, which is often forgotten - you want to look
organized. Even if you need your office to be understated, it does not
need to say you are untidy, or outdated. That sends signals that maybe
your ideas and approach to the details of your business in general are
sloppy or outdated.
Take a moment to stand back and REALLY look at your place of business.
Does it say what you want it to say about you?
